Adding Chat Feature to My Substack
This was originally posted to my substack and is about a new feature only available there.
Who?
Today I’m announcing a brand new addition to my Substack publication: the DrEagleTalon’s Substack subscriber chat. Jump to the bottom to see How right away! Or keep reading, I won’t be offended if you don’t.
MLK was a Civil Rights and Socialist Icon and Hero and today I hope to even keep a bit of that spirit around by allowing you all to discuss with me on my Substack! Now it’s not just me yelling at you! You can yell back!
If you want to learn more about Why, Stick around for a long ramble!
Why?
As I grow in my writing and content this will be a great place to stay connected directly with me.
My Substack is my most important platform and I appreciate every single one of you. I’m not a great writer, hell not even a good writer, but I am a passionate Marxist.
I’m a former felon, racist and idiot who has for a decade lived the experience of casting away that anger and using compassion to lead my life.
My unique takes and ability to laugh at myself will hopefully give you some laughter and deep thought.
I use my platform to enhance my ideas and have them challenged by smarter people (that’s you). I already know how wrong I can be so it’s not hard for me to listen to reason and science and change my stance.
What?
This is a conversation space in the Substack app that I set up exclusively for my subscribers — kind of like a group chat or live hangout. I’ll post short prompts, thoughts, and updates that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion.
To join our chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app, now available for both iOS and Android. Chats are sent via the app, not email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens.
When?
Now! Or when it’s convenient. I am to passive aggressive to yell at you.
How?
- Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. Substack Chat is now available on both iOS and Android.
- Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
3. That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ
